When Ostrom’s Mushrooms faced sudden, stiff competition, they turned to MATTER for a brand refresh. We engineered bright new packaging, highlighted the launch of Ostrom’s Vitamin-D enriched mushrooms, and created a retail program with shelf-talkers promising “Sunshine in a Box.” Meanwhile, pop-up “Sunbreak Stations” in Seattle metro grocery stores provided sampling opportunities, not to mention a break from the rainy Northwest weather. It all led to a 100% increase in Ostrom’s sales, most notably at Walmart stores.
